Mthunzi Funeral Services Company now fully operational

Mthunzi Funeral Services Company, a subsidiary of Old Mutual Malawi has now started operating in the country barely four days after its launch at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.
Mthunzi Funeral Services General Manager Onismas Karakadzai confirmed of the development on Friday during a familiarization tour the company organized with members of various media houses in the country.
“I can confirm that Mthunzi funeral service is now fully operation and this company is here to provide end to end funeral service to both policy holders under Old Mutual and the general public-those that they may come with cash for services.
“This is the first fully integrated funeral service centre in Malawi and we are currently based in Blantyre but we have got plans to be in Lilongwe and Mzuzu and other places around Malawi. So what we are bringing here is convenience. Basically we have everything under one roof, from body removal, Storage facility, we have got hearses, Chapel, high quality coffin and caskets,” he said.
When asked on cost of services offered by Mthunzi Funeral Services Karakadzai said the services are affordable.
“The services that we have here are suitable and they fit every individual who want to give their loved ones befitting send off.
“For starters, what we have here is we have created ambience around funeral. We want to demystify death and we are not doing that at a high cost. for our minimum services some one will not spend more than MK600, 000,” he said.
Mthunzi Funeral Service centre is located at plot number 285, Off Chipatala Avenue, Blantyre.
